Partnering with Parents

Parents have an extremely important role and serve as onsite mentors and facilitators. GCSO instructional and support staff desire to partner with parents in an effort to better serve students.  Parents serve as the first line of contact if a student is absent from a course for an extended period of time or are not turning in the quality of work that is expected. Parents should hold their students accountable for their work and be regularly involved in the education of their student by asking questions, viewing progress reports, and confirming student effort.
